Civil Court Records From Both County Court and U.S. Federal Court Are Available To You
Civil Court records provide information for your applicant’s involvement in County or Federal court as a plaintiff or defendant in non-criminal matters brought before the court.
Civil court records cover a wide variety of non-criminal matters. Lawsuits brought forth for damages or injuries, class action suits alleging some harm to a group and divorces. Records from the United States Bankruptcy courts are also available.
These reports are often used to provide insight into the financial stability of an applicant as a risk management tool. Or in property placement scenarios to determine if the applicant has a past track record of being sued for possession of a property. EBS also offers a separate search for landlords specifically geared to search for past eviction records. (See Eviction Reports)
